Kristen Ashley has done it again!!!! I am a sucker for Second Chance romances and this one was amazing!!!!! I love Ham. He is so sweet. The old phrase "actions speak louder than words" comes to mind when I think of him. He is a man of action. How he feel comes through in how he treats you. He pulls no punches. I liked Zara. I did. She did drive me crazy a few times but this wasn't the typical "alpha male claims his woman and she fights it". That's one of the reasons I enjoyed it so much. It was still the Kristen Ashley style that I have grown to love so much and there was some angst and sexual tension but it was resolved and the story continued.
Truly my only real complaint was the ending. The epilogue. In a way it was fitting and I can see why maybe she thought nothing more needed to be said. However I love my epilogues. Love them! This one left me feeling a little cheated. There was resolution and a glimpse into their life but I wanted more! All in all I give this 4.5 stars and now will not so patiently wait for Kristen Ashley to give us another book. If you haven't read any of her books before, I suggest you start now. I am addicted. I will read anything she publishes. This book was an ARC copy from Net Galley given in exchange for an honest review.
4.5 starsI am totally girl crushing on Harper Sloan and I am seriously lusting after Greg Cage and Corps Security men. What can I say? I loved this book. Harper has a way of combining humor, love, lust, SEX, and some action packed scenes, that really I felt like nothing was lacking. You fall in love with these characters. You want to be friends with the girls and do very naughty things to those hot boys. So when I got my copy I was like....
Cage is not the typical damaged bad boy that we are seeing so much of these days. He is straight laced. He is family oriented and had a wonderful life...until something happened. He lost himself for a while and swore he would do everything he could to never let it happen again. Greg Cage...
Melissa. I freaking love her! She funny and charming and BADASS! She is no pushover and not once did I want to strangle her with my bare hands or toss my kindle against a wall. She also has a past event that she is healing from BUT She is strong and she is a fighter. I kind of wish I was her!
I love the connection that Cage and Melissa have between them. There is no insta-love happening here (thank god!). However, there is definitely some serious insta-lust and I am A O-K with that! lol
I was so happy to see Axel, Izzy and all of the gang from the previous book!! One word: SWAY!!!

There is so much going on in this book!!! Just when I thought we were on our way to a HEA, somthing happens and I was like.....

But have no fear!! We do get to their HEA....
I was honored to receive an ARC of this book and lets just say I devoured it. I knew from reading Harper's first book, Axel, that I was going to enjoy this one. If you haven't read Axel, you need to. Not only is a fantastic story, but that's where you will meet and fall in love with Greg Cage. I could not put this book down. I gave up sleep. I silenced my phone and made my husband give the baby a bath. I was never bored. I couldn't get enough. I am now on pins and needles waiting for the next book because not only have I fallen hard for Axel, and now Greg, but Harper has made me love this whole group of friends. I cant wait to read what else is in store for this gang!!! Go buy Axel if you haven't yet. Go buy Cage. Fix yourselves a cocktail and lock the door and get ready to fall head over heels with the men of Corps Security.

I devoured this book!! I freaking ate it up, in what may be record time. No joke! I loved it all. Axel is a dream! Pure ALPHA hotness and so freaking sweet!!! Izzy! A heroine I didnt want to throttle!!! Yes please!!!
This is a second chance romance of the best kind. Separated at the end of high school and no contact for a decade. Both were broken hearted and misunderstood by the other and both had to go through terrible things that would lead them on the path back to one another. READ THIS BOOK!!!!!! The supporting characters are amazing as well and this is the start of series!!!! All the hottie are gettin a story!!!! YES YES YES!!!!! Bravo Harper Sloan on a fabulous debut!!! I am fan girling and girl crushing like loon!! I loved it all and I cant wait to see where you take us next.......

I loved this!!! I laughed my ass off. Yes, the plot is a little out there but what great Kristen Ashley book isn't??? The characters are phenomenal and freaking funny!!! I know I have gone out the the KA reading order but finishing her other series before this one, but it didn't effect my enjoyment of the books at all. Indy is, well.... CRAZY. lol Shes a total nut!!! I loved her. Lee of course is sex on a stick and yummy as all hell. Since I know him from other books its great to have his story. I think my favorite supporting character in this book was TEX. Hes totally crazy, whacked out of his mind. He is awesome!!!! Moving on to the next book, I'm hoping we get more of Lee and Indy's story as we learn about Eddie and Jet.

Every time I read a Kristen Ashley book, I am more blown away!! She is just brilliant!!!This series is amazing. All of the characters are phenomenal. I cant stress enough that everyone should be reading them. My favorite thing about these book is that the H and h communicate. They say whats on their mind (or try to when they can get a word in. I love the back and forth between them. Lexie is just "goofy", I loved her wit and sass. She string and cheery and speaks her mind. Ty, oh my sweet Ty. I love him. He may be my favorite of all the Kristen Ashley badass men!!Hes sexy and charming. Hes dealt with wayyyy too much in his life and is working through it. This story is full of mystery, suspense, passion, smoking hot guys and hilarious women that you relate to. On to the next one!!!
I cannot express my love for Kristen Ashley! She somehow manages to write a story that is slightly far fetched, but at the same time she always makes the characters real. You feel you know them and you LOVE LOVE LOVE them, every single time!! This held true when I read this book.First we have Lauren. A newly divorced, middle aged lady, searching for "nothing special". She divorced her cheating husband and went on a search for a place to start over. During her marriage she lost herself and without even realizing it, she starts to find her way back. Her journey leads her straight to Tate Jackson.
Tate is a bounty hunter. A bad ass biker, former NFL player. Hes adorable and sexy as hell. Hes got a past and boy does it rear its ugly head throughout this story. Hes a little lost, a little jaded and definitely been burned by the women in his life. So when he meets Lauren, hes apprehensive to say the least.
I love this series and everything about it. If you are new to Kristen Ashley, start reading her books now!!!! Right now!!!! You will not be disappointed.
3.5-4 starsThis one took me by surprise. When I started reading I was thinking it was going to be the same old rich guy-meets-every-day-girl type story. I was wrong. I admit it. One main difference is there isn't that often ridiculous, insta-love that I am reading of more and more. Yes, Henry and Claire have an instant attraction, but the story doesn't just jump into it. Henry and Claire are both resistant to the obvious pull they have to one another. Things develop over time so their professional relationship begins to mingle with a personal one.
This story has a lot of whit. The characters are very real and you will love them. The Beck brothers make an appearance throughout and their relationship is very sweet and very funny. I really enjoyed this book!!! It has humor, realistic situations and great characters. Whats not to love???
Its a complete story so no cliffy!!! It also sets us up for the story of Sebastian. We get a good look into his background as we learn more and more about Henry and Claire.
Hmmmmmmm where to begin??? Im debating 3.75-4 starsI liked this book. I really did. It did start off fairly slow for me and I had to tell myself to try to look past Lis and her judgmental attitude. "Snotty Bitch" yeah that's what I thought of her. lol
Lisanne is starting her first year at college as a music major. At her parents urging she takes a business course so she has a back up plan. Lis is sheltered. She knows almost nothing about the opposite sex and how to interact with them beyond small talk. Shes annoying to say the least. She end up struggling in her business course and gets paired up with Daniel. She judges him before even speaking to him. Convinced he's and jerk and overly cocky. She really has no clue.
Daniel is complicated. Yes he is standoffish. Yes he is angry. He's popular but doesn't have many real friends. He has a secret. A big one. After learning why he acts the way he does, my heart breaks for him. I had tears in my eyes. I felt his pain and loneliness. I understood why he was acting the way he did. He had more than one reason to be angry. In a very short amount of time his whole world changed in more ways than anyone can imagine. He didn't let it stop him. He kept pushing despite everything in his world knocking him down I loved him for it. I realize I'm being vague but i don't want to give to much away with this story. I think you will get more out of it if you let it develop without knowing too much going in to it.
This story really makes you think. It makes you think about yourself and how you may use snap judgement to sum up someone you dont really know anything about. If someone comes off as rude and you make the decision to believe they are just that type a person, it says more about you than them. Maybe they have a reason for how they are responding. A good one, based out of loneliness or fear. This book really makes you think about that.
This book will drive you crazy! Its very angsty and Lis is the worst communicator. She naive and frankly a bit of a snob. Shes insecure and really got away with more than I think she should have. This is not your typical story of a young small town girl heading off to college. Daniel has a sad very situation. My heart broke for him so many times.
All in all, read this book. In the end it was worth it. I did wish the ending would have wrapped it up in more detail. I felt it was a bit rushed. But even so it ends in a way that makes your heart smile. Its a HFN.
