Unexpected Fate

Unexpected Fate - Harper Sloan OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blue Lines (Assassins, #4)

Blue Lines (Assassins, #4) - Toni Aleo Having been a fan of The Assassins Series for so long, I was so excited to get this book! I was even more thrilled when I realized it didn't follow the same formula of the female lead running from the relationship. As always the story was well paced and I love that its not set in a short time period. I loved Piper! The writing is flawless and I truly felt for Erik. This series so wonderful. It has all the things I look for in a story; angst, steamy scenes, real issues, humor etc. I cannot wait for the next to learn about Phil!!! My only real complaint was that Piper seemed to give up and forgive so easily in the beginning when Erik was so nasty. I wish there would have been more to the resolution of such a messed up situation but was really pleased with the story overall. I have told my friends about this series and added it to my "favorite" shelf on goodreads.com

Night Moves (G-Man, #3)

Night Moves (G-Man, #3) - Andrea Smith, Ashlee Porte, SueBee 3.5 stars
Holding On (Lights of Peril) - A.C. Bextor

Ok first off READ THIS BOOK. I have been on a biker/alpha male kick lately and was so excited to come across this book! I hesitated to start reading it because of reviews that mentioned a cliffhanger and poor editing that left grammar errors etc. So before I go into how much I liked this story let me say.....THE GRAMMAR ERRORS ARE THERE BUT ARE NOT IN ANY WAY TERRIBLE. I noticed them, yes, but it didn't take away from my reading experience. The author is indie! I say cut her some slack. Second the book is NOT a cliffhanger. It is not a HEA or HFN. You know what to look for in the next book. Its not leaving you hanging with anything other than wanting to know more. I would say it leaves you at the best possible place, considering the events.
I love these characters. All of them. Mace is funny and sassy and can dish it out. Shame, OMG sex on a stick and totally alpha, but he has a heart, a BIG one. Sadey!! I cannot wait to find out where the next book takes her!!! Then there is Hem.. Sweet sweet Hem. He is complex and deep and sexy. He is arrogant and self deprecating at the same time. I LOVED him!!!
This book does have some violence. If you read the synopsis you will know. I wouldn't say its quite as graphic or violent as other MC books such as Madeline Sheehan or Crystal Spears, but it is not as "clean" as Kristen Ashley's Motorcycle Man. This story takes place or a good length of time. It is not fast paced. It is not rushed. I am so excited because there is still so much that can happen in the next book even with the big questions being answered in this one. Bravo AC Bextor!!!! I loved it! I laughed, cried, clutched my kindle for dear life, and then wanted to hurl it against a wall. All of that means it was a great book....I give it 4.5 stars

Unforgiven - Elizabeth Finn

I really loved and hated this book. I was completely engrossed in the story and finished it in one sitting. I felt for all of the characters and I was able to empathize with them. This book is painful. Its far beyond angst. The H and h are broken. Though the same tragedy effected both of them, they are on opposite ends of the spectrum. I don't want to give too much away here. I highly recommend this read though. The story is full of hate, passion, love, rage, grief etc. It completely runs the gamete of emotions and will put you through the ringer. I loved and hated both Darren and Bailey but as much as I wanted to hate them, I couldn't. I couldn't because the story unfolds in such a way that you can understand them. You feel their pain and you end up rooting for them. At one point in the book, I could not fathom a HEA. I just couldn't see it. The writing is superb. Elizabeth Finn did an amazing job with this book and I cannot wait to read whatever she writes next. 4.5 stars!!
